Best headline in the China environmental humor category goes to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation for Singapore-Beijing highway prompts environmental concerns.

As on St Patrick’s day where one is more attuned to the color green, April 1^st has the radar scanning for the potential prank.  Thus, headlines in my “news alert” dump that wouldn’t have invited a second look yesterday have me wondering whether my leg is being pulled today.  What would you make of:

Environment talks with Al Gore former US Vice-President

or

China’s environment under threat: study

or

Congressman Thad McCotter standing firm against Red China    ?

In some cases, particularly in the last instance, reading the article doesn’t resolve the issue.  I can’t wait for tomorrow when I will once again know that the humor in a headline such as US academic hit by change is purely unintentional.
