Green LabelAs I previously noted China’s Standardization Administration announced on April 18 that it had released 46 new national standards on “energy consumption issues ranging from coal-fired power to household induction cookers.” These standards are specifically designed to improve the implementation of the newly amended Energy Conservation Law  that went into effect April 1, 2008. I promised English translations of the titles of these standards and, true to my word, here they are. Most of the standards will go into effect on June 1 with the balance scheduled to take effect sometime on or before December 1.

Any idea how to find out what the standards actually are? I can’t seem to find anything public online, although I did find this comprehensive list from the SAC themselves:

Nathan: Occasionally you can find an English version (or at least a good synopsis) of a Chinese standard online, but absent that you have to have the standard translated.
