Back from Beijing. I will have a full report after the Dragon Boat Holiday. Plans for US-China cooperation in the clean energy space seem to be developing apace. That’s the good news. On the Copenhagen front, I’m not feeling so confident. It was nice to see the US-China Clean Energy Forum folks again. Thanks for the hospitality!
Sorry Jackie, but that’s my seat! Move your stuff elsewhere. Although Jackie Speier is my Representative, I’d never met her in San Francisco. Turns out she is an absolutely wonderful person. Isn’t it nice when that happens.
I don’t get to Beijing much, so I had not seen The Place before. During the day it looks like a carport for an intergalactic semi-trailer, at night it turns into, I’m not making this up, “the world’s largest overhead outdoor television screen.” Ah, a night beneath the TV set!
